Needing to call the Fire Department can be stressful enough when you can easily communicate.  Now imagine how stressful it would be to be unable to communicate with help when you need it.

Some of our EMT's have taken a course provided by Special Rescue Services called Sign Language for EMS.  This course focused on medical and emergency signs that may be used to provide the link to the right help for members of the hearing impaired community.
